COP23 Logos and Labels

Below, you will find descriptions for the various logos and labels created for the COP23 Presidency, as well as information about how to apply for use of one of the labels.

While the official logo and the co-branded logo are for the exclusive use of the COP23 Presidency, the UNFCCC and the German Government (as described below), other organisations that share Fiji’s vision for COP23 can apply for one of the official labels.

The success of COP23 affects us all, so lets all mobilise and share its colours!

Official Logo

The official logo is the emblem of the Fijian Presidency of the 2017 UN Climate Change Conference in Bonn, Germany.

It is for the exclusive use of the COP23 Presidency, the COP23 Presidency Secretariat and the Fijian Government.

Co-Branded Logo

The co-branded logo contains the official logo of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in conjunction with the COP23 logo.

It is the official emblem of the 23rd annual Conference of Parties (COP23) that will take place in Bonn, Germany from 6-17 November.

Its use is governed jointly by the COP23 Presidency and the UNFCCC.

Official Partner Label

The official partner label is reserved for the exclusive use of organisations that have made a financial, in kind or service contribution to the Fijian Presidency for the organisation of COP23.

Endorsed Event Label

The endorsed event label is granted to event organisers to represent the institutional support of COP23 for their event.

In order to receive the label, events must be in line with Fiji’s vision and contribute to the momentum of COP23.

Endorsed Initiative Label

Similar to the event label, the endorsed initiative logo represents the COP23 Presidency’s endorsement of a specific project or initiative.

It is a way for the Presidency to acknowledge and label innovative ideas that are accelerating climate action around the globe.

How to Apply for a Label

The COP23 Presidency is only able to process applications that are submitted in English. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes, but due to limited resources, we are not able to translate or process applications submitted in other languages.

Official Partners

If you are interested in providing support to the COP23 Presidency, please visit the partners page of our website or send an email to info@cop23.com.fj.

Businesses can contribute to the organisation of COP23 through either financial or in-kind contributions (through its products, know-how or expertise).

As part of the selection process, a company must provide a presentation of its activities in favour of climate action; in some cases a corporate social responsibility report may be requested as well. Applications will go through a selection committee that will study each case.

Endorsed Event

To apply to have your event labeled as an “Endorsed Event” and to receive the endorsed event label, please send a completed application form – together with all relevant supporting documentation – an email to logo@cop23.com.fj.

Event organisers should provide as much detail as possible to allow the selection committee to assess the application against certain eligibility criteria. The event must have a direct link to one of the themes outlined in Fiji’s vision for the COP23 Presidency. The event should also lead to direct and concrete outcomes that further the global fight against climate change.

The selection committee will endeavour to respond to requests within 10 working days, but during times of high traffic, this period may be longer.

Once the event has been approved, the organisers must sign the charter of use before they can obtain the label. This includes an agreement to respect the principles of environmental sustainability.

Once the charter has been signed, the organisers will receive a high-quality vector image.

The label applies only to the event for which the charter was signed. The supporting organisation will not be labelled as an official partner, nor will other events it organises be labelled as endorsed by the COP23 Presidency without separate application.

Endorsed Initiative

The selection committee will endeavour to respond to requests within 20 working days, but during times of high traffic, this period may be longer.

Once the initiative has been approved, the applicant must sign the charter of use before obtaining the label. This includes an agreement to respect the principles of environmental sustainability.

The label applies only to the initiative for which the charter was signed. The supporting organisation will not be labelled as an official partner, nor will any other of its initiatives or projects be labelled or endorsed by the COP23 Presidency without separate application.
